This drop-in recone is for the Sundown X-8″ subwoofers.
Using the v3 parts, they are compatible with the first 3 versions, v1, v2, and v3.
Here is a breakdown of the differences:
Xv1 8″ – The bottom of the motor has no vent holes. The frame has no vent holes. There is a plastic spacer between the motor and frame.
Xv2 8″ – The bottom of the motor has 1 center dimple. The frame may or may not have vent holes depending on when it was made. Some of the v2s will have spacers. We will need to know what setup you have.
Xv3 8″ – The bottom of the motor has numerous vent holes. The frame will have vent holes and there will be no spacer.

Please note that our drop-in recones do not include shims or glue.

Installation Guidelines for Your New Drop-In Recone:
For shimming, we recommend using regular printer paper, trimmed and stacked. Be sure the paper is not overlapping and that the shim is snug, but not too tight. The coil needs to be able to slide up and down without resistance.
For adhesive, we suggest using our specialized glue kit.
Prior to installation, ensure the dust cap’s glue surface is roughened, and clean the frame thoroughly for optimal adhesion.

Processing Time: On average, your order will be completed within one week.
Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email. No further updates will be sent until the order is finished, at which point you will receive an email with tracking information.
Important Warranty Information: We are unable to provide warranty coverage for DIY recone assembly issues. Our warranty is limited to the labor we perform. Manufacturing defects in the kit itself are our responsibility, but the installation process is entirely the customer’s responsibility (including issues such as ticking, rubbing, or broken components).
**Drop-in recone kits are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Please double-check that you are selecting the correct model, version, and parts before placing your order.
